Helping to support seacoast musicians
This Week's Artist Soggy Po' Boys Presented by Seacoast Jazz Society

Jan 16, 2021 Part of the beauty of New Orleans music is that it's celebrated and appreciated wherever it goes, from the street to the theater. The Po' Boys are doing their part to spread the greatest music on earth around their home in New England. The Soggy Po' Boys serve their jazz messy, mixing brass-fueled mayhem with spirituals, Meters-style old-school funk, and the Caribbean side of the New Orleans tradition.
Who is this benefiting?
The global pandemic has disrupted much of the New Hampshire Seacoast's culture and economy, with musicians having been hit especially hard. Music fans and musicians have been lucky to have a variety of outdoor music events in the Seacoast this past summer: from the Loading Dock Series at 3S Artspace to the Kittery Community Center to Crows Feat Farm to the Portsmouth Popup, out-of-work musicians have been able to bring their art to the hungry public. Winter Warmer aims to keep the fire of live music burning by airing the best local music the Seacoast has to offer in an 11-band concert video series that will stream weekly from January through the end of March. Seacoast Music Support, in collaboration with Project Music Works, 501(c)(3), are fundraising production costs so that the musicians involved can get 95% of the ticket sales with 5% going to Continuum Arts Collective, a Maine nonprofit organization which puts musical instruments and arts supplies in the hands of kids who can't otherwise access them. A huge thank you to our sponsors. Seacoast Jazz Society, Parma Records, The Noise Floor, The Black Birch, Stoneface Brewing Company, Tangram 3DS, Drum Center Portsmouth, NAMI and Chapel & Main. Season passes and tickets are now available. We are looking forward to presenting our Winter Warmer Series! Sincerely, Eff, Greg, Nick and Amanda
